Copernic Desktop Search is a commercial desktop search utility for the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems. Three versions of the product are made which target different market segments.
Copernic Desktop Search performs a search using file names, file contents and metadata based on an index it creates. As items are added, changed or removed from the computer, incremental indexing is performed in the background using idle system resources.[1]
The product includes a deskbar that provides an input area on the Windows Taskbar.[1]. Not compatible with windows 7 X64
There are three editions, Home, Professional, and Corporate. The Home edition is free for non-commercial use however it does not support network drive indexing, Outlook data indexing, saved searches and find-as-you-type. [2]
